Westwood's River Oaks college is located in Calumet City in Cook County, IL. Calumet City has a rich history, with its first inhabitants—a group of nomads who migrated across the Bering Strait from Asia—dating back to 1892. Calumet City has a population of approximately 40,000, including residents of English, Sub-Saharan African, German, Italian, Irish and Polish cultural heritages.
