Located in Calumet City, Westwood College – River Oaks Campus is the economic hub of Chicago’s south suburbs. This multi-cultural area is home to many technological, industrial and commercial industries. Conveniently located between many major highways, the campus is easily accessible for residents of both Illinois and Indiana.

The River Oaks Campus is close to Cook County’s expansive Forest Preserve District. The district has more than 200 miles of trails, 100 miles of bicycle paths and numerous butterfly gardens. Horseback riding is a popular activity in the area, with eight stables in close proximity to campus. Fishing, swimming and boating opportunities also abound in the Forest Preserve District. The campus itself is expansive, with many facilities and social opportunities for students. It spreads over 50,000 square feet with 31 laboratories and classrooms. The facilities include PC and Macintosh computer labs, private tutoring rooms, a student commons area and two fully-equipped medical assisting laboratories.

Student services at the River Oaks Campus include personal academic advisors, weekly coaching sessions for new students and recognition of student achievement through the honor society. The campus also hosts many program-specific speakers, job fairs, and graduation ceremonies twice a year at the Navy Pier.
